Bihar will caste vote . I remember the Nitish Kumar defeat in 2004 from Barh LokSabha . He lost to local Vijay Krishna ( a Rajput leader of Lalu Party -RJD ) . Nitish love development so he had gifted many things in Barh including a NTPC power station which benefitted local Bhumihars " Rajputs but in election electorate cast thier votes on thier caste . It may look strange for its not lacking full time analysis but they ignore the value of casting vote to right candidate and blindly follow the blood of caste.
But at same time caste does not matter always . Remember the elction of 1957 , when close to Sri Babu Sri Mahesh Pd Sinha lost his election to Sri Mahamaya Prasad while Muzaffarpur was considered a safe seat for any Bhumihar candidate . Above all Mahesh babu did a lot in between 1947 to 1957 for Muzaffarpur development .
Similarly , George Fernandes always became favourable candidate for Muzaffarpur Bhumihar electorate . His every win from Muzaffarpur shunted one local powerful Bhumhar leader like in 1977 he defeated Nitishwar Babu , in 1980 he defeated Digvijay Babu and in 1989 he defeated Raghunath Pandey . Its may look intresting for National Jouralist that all these leaders were never able to fight thier other eelction i.e. Political death sentence by George saheb .
Why and how people will vote for development ? Nitish and rest of electorate in Bihar feel that now kidnapping is nowhere but critics says all such criminals are indulge in Thekedari ( Civil Contracts ) , but instead of Kidnapping corruption has taken the first most place . Lalu critics always blamed Lalu for Kidnapping does it mean we should blame Nitish Kumar for corruption ?
